LMO 6: PERIPHERAL NERVOUS SYSTEM

Program:

DAY 1 (8 hours)

Morning: 

Introduction to the Mechanical Link concept of the neural lesion, physiology and pathology of the peripheral nervous system, correlations with acupuncture, how to localise, assess, prioritise and treat a neural key point (theory).

Demonstration of the examination and treatment of the nerves.

Palpation of the nerve (practice).

Afternoon

Theory, demonstration and practice of the cervical nerves: greater occipital, posterior branches of the cervical nerves, punctum nervosum, lesser occipital, great auricular, phrenic, suprascapular and brachial plexus. Tension tests, balance tests and treatment by recoil.

 

DAY 2 (8 hours)

Morning: 

Theory, demonstration and practice of the nerves of the upper extremity: radial, antebrachial cutaneous, median and ulnar. Tension tests, balance tests and treatment by recoil. 

Afternoon

Theory, demonstration and practice of the nerves of the lumbar plexus: iliohypogastric, ilioinguinal, lateral femoral cutaneous, obturator, femoral and saphenous.  Tension tests, balance tests and treatment by recoil. 

 

DAY 3 (8 hours)

Morning: 

Theory, demonstration and practice of the branches of the sciatic nerve: tibial nerve, fibular nerve and sural nerve. Tension tests, balance tests and treatment by recoil. 

Afternoon

Summary and practice of a complete treatment of the vascular system and the autonomic nervous system.
