3 day course
How to integrate the peripheral nerves in your general osteopathic examination easily and rapidly ?
During this course, we will see that the major nerve pathways accessible to palpation may be easily assessed (test) and treated (recoil) using selected and well referenced key points.
Using the indisputable reference model that is anatomy, the correspondence established between key points of the nervous system and the major points of acupuncture also opens fascinating perspectives.
The numerous and important therapeutic applications (acute or chronic pain, autonomic disorders, immunity, stress, sleep, etc.) are validated by more than twelve years of clinical experience.
This course is uniquely illustrated by anatomical dissections and illustrations realised by the teaching team.
A reference course which constitutes a true hyphen between osteopathy and acupuncture.
DAY 1 (8 hours)
Introduction to the Mechanical Link concept of the neural lesion, physiology and pathology of the peripheral nervous system, correlations with acupuncture, how to localise, assess, prioritise and treat a neural key point (theory).
Demonstration of the examination and treatment of the nerves.
Palpation of the nerve (practice).
Theory, demonstration and practice of the cervical nerves: greater occipital, posterior branches of the cervical nerves, punctum nervosum, lesser occipital, great auricular, phrenic, suprascapular and brachial plexus. Tension tests, balance tests and treatment by recoil.
DAY 2 (8 hours)
Theory, demonstration and practice of the nerves of the upper extremity: radial, antebrachial cutaneous, median and ulnar. Tension tests, balance tests and treatment by recoil.
Theory, demonstration and practice of the nerves of the lumbar plexus: iliohypogastric, ilioinguinal, lateral femoral cutaneous, obturator, femoral and saphenous. Tension tests, balance tests and treatment by recoil.
DAY 3 (8 hours)
Theory, demonstration and practice of the branches of the sciatic nerve: tibial nerve, fibular nerve and sural nerve. Tension tests, balance tests and treatment by recoil.
Summary and practice of a complete treatment of the vascular system and the autonomic nervous system.
