The Recoil
Once the cause has been identified and treated, a number of secondary lesions will have been released. A few of them may however still persist, in the case where several causes are responsible for the same complaint or of several complaints... A very precise procedure lets us know how to begin, how, through successive steps, to carry on the treatment and above all when to stop, while remaining aware of the presenting complaint. The treatment ends when all the restrictions identified have been neutralised, which generally requires a limited number of corrections.
The Recoil is the original and specific technique used by Mechanical Link practitioners to achieve corrections.
It consists in releasing the fixation (loss of tissue elasticity) using the fingers, by applying a very short and quick impulse against the tissue resistance. This technique, efficient without involving mobilisation, respects the integrity of the tissue physiology. It is simple, precise, extremely rapid in its execution and comfortable for the patient. Its effect is immediately perceptible, in acute as well as in chronic patients. The recoil may be applied to all structures of the body: articulations, nerves, arteries, bones, organs or skin...
